Sartori® SarVecchio® Parmesan Brussels Sprouts
- 1 deli cup Sartori® SarVecchio® Parmesan
- 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed & halved
- 5 strips thick-cut bacon
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted & chopped
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
Arrange bacon in a cast-iron pan and bake until crispy (about 12-15 mins.). Transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towels. Reserve 2 T. of bacon drippings and eat your snack slice of bacon (we know it smelled good and the recipe only needs 4 strips — you’re welcome). Chop bacon once cooled.
Heat bacon drippings and oil in a cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Place sprouts cut side down in the pan, season to taste and place in the oven. Roast, giving the pan a good shake now and then, until golden brown (about 10-20 mins.).
Transfer sprouts to a serving dish, toss with a healthy handful of SarVecchio® Parmesan, walnuts and bacon.
